NOVEC 1230
The Novec 1230 extinguishing system is the first chemical alternative to Halon not subject to the restrictions imposed by the Kyoto Protocol: a "clean" agent, safe for people, and environmentally friendly.
Stored in a liquid state, it diffuses into gaseous form as it exits the nozzles. Thus, when the system triggers its release, the agent extinguishes the flames by absorbing heat faster than the fire can produce it. Stored under a pressure of 25 bars, the entire agent is released within 10 seconds of being triggered.
Novec 1230's unique 88% safety factor (the difference between the in-use concentration and its safety threshold or NOAEL value – "NO Adverse Effect Level") allows its use in occupied areas and guarantees its safety to people in all cases.
Non-polluting, Novec 1230 decomposes naturally in the atmosphere in less than 5 days.
Novec 1230 is a fire extinguishing liquid that vaporizes as soon as it is sprayed.
The operation of devices (electronic or otherwise) in contact with the liquid is not affected. This "non-wetting" liquid even prevents traditional documents from being damaged.
Thus, the fire extinguishing system protects against production interruptions, which in the event of a disaster ultimately represent the greatest economic loss.
